Weekend outlook 10/19
Tons of great events happening this weekend in the Orlando area. We’ve got fall, sports, art, and a chance to grab some beers. Read on to see my favorite things happening around town this weekend.
Saturday, 10/19 is the UCF homecoming game against East Carolina. Game time is set for 7pm so this will be a great game under the lights. Perfect fall weather and everything. Tickets are still available. Never been to a UCF game? Check out my post full of tips here.
Looking to get arty? Immerse, by the Creative City Project is this weekend. Immerse is all about performing and interactive art and takes over downtown Orlando with stages and installations. Tickets and more info can be found here.
Another weekend, another oktoberfest, amirite? This weekend the German American Society of Central Florida is hosting Oktoberfest at their club in Casselberry. Tickets are required for entry and can purchased online. Parking is $5. My favorite part about this Oktoberfest is the live german music and entertainment from local german dance groups. Get their early to grab a table with a good view of one of the two stages.
Sadly we may see some rain this weekend, so just in case I’m throwing in an inside activity. Orlando Fringe is hosting a double feature of two of their most popular Fringe shows, The Animatronicans and Animatronicans: Under New Management. If you haven’t had a chance to see the Animatronicans at Fringe, then this is a must see. Both show are about the animatronic characters as a theme park not too unlike one we all know. The shows follow the characters and allow viewers a glimpse into their lives. The shows are hilarious, but geared at an 18+ audience. Buy tickets here.
Well, that’s all I’ve got. Have a great weekend!
