Weekend Outlook 9/28

It is almost October now, but during the day it is still pretty brutal outside. When will the cool days come? Soon hopefully, I am READY. Anyways, here is my Weekend Outlook, a list of local events this weekend that caught my eye. Maybe one of them will interest you.

Tickets are still available to the UCF Football GameĀ this weekend against UCONN. Kickoff is at 7pm so this will for sure be a great game under the lights. Get there early for all the events and festivities on Knights Plaza. I’ll be there with some friends supporting the (Golden) Knights. UCF fans wear BLACK.

Looking to do some shopping? The Wall Street Vintage Market is this Sunday downtown. Admission is free, but ages 18+ only. The event runs from 12:30pm until 8:30pm and the bars will be open to grab a drink and cool off.

Looking to add a new plant friend to your life? The Lake County Wildflower Festival and Native Plant Sale is this Saturday from 9-2 in Groveland. This event looks super cute and is less than an hour away from Downtown. Perfect for a Saturday morning road trip.

Interested in local improv? Friday night AdLib Theater will be hosting Lauren and Alex Host a Show. Tickets are $10. I don’t know much about Lauren and Alex, but this looks like a fun way to see some improv on a smaller stage. Show starts at 8pm, so grab a drink or dinner on Park Ave. before the show or after if you’re a night owl.

Lastly, if you were looking for something fall-themed or beer related? I have an Oktoberfest for you. Hourglass Brewing is hosting their annual Oktoberfest, this year at BOTH locations. If you have not had a chance to check out their new spot in the Hourglass District, you need to go. Ok, I have not had a chance yet either, but the place is adorable and I’m going to go soon, maybe Saturday. Their original location in Longwood is still open as well.

If you check out one of these events let me know! Tag me in a photo on Instagram or Twitter. Let me know if you like this kind of post as I’m going to try and do them weekly as well as seasonally.
