Weekend Outlook 11/16
Ok, for real this time, fall is finally here in Central Florida. If you haven’t beens spending time outside, you NEED to. Here are some fun outdoor events this weekend to get you outside and feelin’ it.
This weekend, at Lake Eola is the 8th annual Barktoberfest. This event is put on by Orange County Animal Services and will include their mobile clinic, free and low cost pet services, local rescue organizations and of course pet adoptions. I’m going to try and be there to look at a furry friend for our fam. Vendor list, including rescue organizations can be found here.
The Orlando Beer Festival is this Saturday at Festival Park near downtown. This is the 5th annual event and is hosted by Orlando Weekly. Tickets are a little steep at $50, but you do get samples of over 200 beers from tons of local and bigger breweries. Designated Driver tickets are available for $30.
Looking to learn more about how to create Florida-friendly landscape in your yard? Check out this workshop at 10am on Saturday with Garden Florida! and IFAS. Tickets are $10 and include two books and a rain gauge.
If antiquing is your thing, this weekend is the first Renninger’s Antique Extravaganza of the season. Three days full of more antique vendors that you can even see. This is a great place to find new decor for your home, DIY projects or holiday gifting.
